Excavation Equipment is proud of the honor it received this week, in recognition for the hard work and dedication we’ve put forth in recent years. We’re proud to announce that Excavation Equipment has placed #56 of the fastest growing companies in Australia for 2016’s Fast 100 List by BRW and The Australian Financial Review.  This is the first time Excavation Equipment has debuted on the BRW Fast 100 list as we have graduated from BRW’s Fast Starters list were we were ranked in #49 in 2014 and #30 in 2015.  This is a tremendous achievement for a regional Queensland based business.

The list is fairly comprehensive and far-reaching, from tourism to skin clinics, engineering firms to caterers and construction firms. Others on the list included real estate firms, technology companies, web designers, architects, party rental providers, and learning academies. Winners appeared in the Australian Financial Review November 17 edition. The Fast 100 List ranks companies by yearly revenue growth between the years of 2012 and 2016.

Fast 100 entrants must have commenced trading before July 1, 2012, and provide four years of turnover data, with a minimum of $500,000 in the first reporting period (2012-2013). The AFR seeks verification from external auditors or accountants, and calculates the average annual growth rate over the four periods, which determines its ranking in the Fast 100.

The growth rate required to be the 100th company on the Fast 100 fell from 45.2 per cent in 2015 (achieved by media agency Cummins & Partners) to 35.6 per cent this year (Platinum Electricians), reflecting the softening in the wider Australian economy.  A seventh appearance on the list was achieved by e-tailer Booktopia (ranked 86th with a 44.1 per cent growth rate) while RFi Group, a financial services intelligence outfit, made the cut for the sixth time in a row (ranked 63rd with 52.8 per cent growth).
